Baronial Garb Swap Night

Greetings to the Barony (That includes Aston Tor!)!
Some of you may have heard that the Barony currently has a surfeit of gold key garb.  This is absolutely true.  I volunteered to sort it out for our Chatelaine Josefina, since she has a very small apartment and can’t store it all.  I was told there were five totes.  I brought home seven totes and five trash bags full of clothes.  🙂  Many of these are nice outfits or pieces, but unsuitable for gold key due to being fitted or complicated.  What to do with it?
I proposed to our officers to hold a garb swap night.  I will bring the excess gold key, and newcomers or established members may acquire items from it for whatever donation to the Barony’s coffers you feel appropriate.  This is also for others to bring garb you no longer wear, but might work well for someone of a different size or period.  Put a reasonable price on your items and send them home with someone else!  Spruce up your wardrobe with new-to-you attire!
The garb swap will be held in the second room we rent at the Irene French Center on the FIFTH Wednesday of November (note not fourth Wednesday, that would be the day before Thanksgiving and we changed our reservation so folks could be more likely to come), 11/29 6-9PM – just in time for Kris Kinder.  The multipurpose room is on the first floor, to the left of the main desk if you go in the front doors.
Please contact me if you have any questions.  Thanks, –Branwen
